The family had aging parents who needed part time assistance so we helped them design an attached ADU complete with a curb-less shower, extra wide doors, and an open floor plan all for easy wheelchair access. For the living room, we wanted to retain a 'modern cabin' feel so we suggested exposing and staining the PSL beam you see in the images. The finishes for the kitchen are shaker cabinets with white countertops and a shiplap backsplash we treated with polyurethane to add some level of water-resistance.
