The homeowners had purchased the home and renovated before moving in. You'll notice from the 'before' and 'after' pictures that we removed the center wall that divided the kitchen from the living area. In place of the wall, we installed a PSL beam with an 8" exposure that we wrapped in the same hardwood material used on the floor to limit the number of wood textures and colors present in the space. Additionally, we replace the windows throughout the living area and installed new French doors that open to the backyard. The intention behind this was to create a smooth transition from the indoor to the outdoor living space.
The kitchen finishes were selected by the homeowners. The cabinets used were slim shaker paired with real quartzite countertops and backsplash. The oak center island cabintes and copper light fixtures add a nice touch of character to the space. Other smaller aspects of the projects include the painting of the bedrooms and replacement of electrical fixtures.
