The homeowners wanted more storage space and improve the functionality of the galley kitchen but not loose any of the existing living room space so we opted for a straightforward like for like kitchen renovation with a small adjustment to an adjacent closet. There was an oversized coat closet behind the kitchen so we reframed the walls to take up some of the closet space in exchange for deeper cabinets. The new cabinet package has new upper cabinets and lower cabinets with pull out drawers. We installed new stainless steel appliances and built in the microwave to preserve limited counterspace.
As for other parts of the home, we removed the old orange peel texture, light fixtures, outlets, and vents. We then retextures the walls to a level 4 smooth, new paint, and installed new recessed lights, switches, and vent covers to complete the project.
