A full update on this kitchen and dining room area. We reframed the center island and extended it roughly 18" to be flush against the hallway wall and added counterspace in the dining room's backwall. For the finishes we built a waterfall countertop, translucent subway tile with white grout for the backsplash, and Hickory for the cabinets. We added roughly 12 recessed lights throughout the rooms and the 2 pendant lights above the center island. For the floors, we installed an engineered Ash hardwood floor. Most appliances were missing due to backlogs from suppliers so if you're thinking of remodeling, get your appliances picked out and ordered asap!
